The story
The Frank Armchair is a marble seating piece by Aurélia Bouyssonie, part of the Tribute Collection by Marmo Spirito in Tunis.
Like its counterparts in the collection, the armchair derives its formal authority from a strict modernist vocabulary: flat planes, low proportions, and the kind of studied restraint associated with the work of Jean Michel Frank. The arms extend horizontally, grounding the piece visually while maintaining the architectural rigour of the silhouette.
Marble is the only material. The stone contributes both mass and character; each chair carries its own pattern of natural veining, unrepeatable from piece to piece. The studio finishes the stone to preserve its geological surface rather than levelling it into uniformity.
The Frank Armchair belongs to a seating group completed by the Frank Sofa and Frank Footstool. Together they form the core of Bouyssonie's Tribute Collection, a body of sculptural marble furniture that places Marmo Spirito in direct conversation with the modernist tradition.
About Marmo Spirito
Aurélia Bouyssonie is a French architect and designer based in Tunis, working under Marmo Spirito, a brand she founded around marble furniture and material experimentation.
Educated in Rome and Paris, she developed a minimalist approach rooted in Mediterranean vernacular architecture. Her declared references are Mies van der Rohe and Jean Michel Frank: both offer the same lesson in restraint, where essential forms and noble materials do the work that ornament refuses to do. Bouyssonie applies that discipline to furniture that reads as sculpture first, seating second.

Every piece is packed and shipped under insurance, from the workshop to you. White glove delivery (unpacking, installation, packaging removal) is available on request. Delivery is not charged at checkout: we send you a quote within 24 business hours of your order. You have 5 days to accept and pay it (secure payment link or bank transfer), otherwise your order is cancelled and fully refunded.
