The story
The Moone Table by Pierre Favresse works in Terrazzo: a wide rectangular slab in black-ground material with large white aggregate inclusions, the surface reading as a night sky cross-section, dense and speckled. Two rectangular pedestal blocks of unequal height support the slab from beneath, positioned asymmetrically to introduce deliberate visual tension. No surface treatment interrupts the ceramic's raw character; the material does all the work.
Favresse's period at Lladró, the Spanish porcelain house, sharpened his understanding of fired material as a vehicle for formal ambition. The Moone Table extends that grammar to furniture scale: brutalist in language, precise in execution, resistant to ornament.

About Maison Pierre Favresse
Pierre Favresse is one of the most recognized French designers of his generation. His work explores the intersection of craftsmanship, innovation and human experience.
Trained as a cabinetmaker at École Boulle before graduating from l'École des Arts Décoratifs de Paris, he began his career alongside designer Mathieu Lehanneur, eventually becoming director of his studio. This formative experience shaped his belief that design can create meaningful connections between people, objects and their environment.
