The story
The Butterfly Ottoman by Pierre Favresse extends the armchair's formal logic: the same deep burgundy lacquered fiberglass forms a low, biomorphic pedestal base, and a curved upholstered top in matching dark bouclé completes the form. The silhouette is somewhere between a footstool and a found stone, low enough to disappear visually, distinct enough to hold space as an object.
Proportioned to pair with the Butterfly Armchair or Sofa, the ottoman functions as the third element in a seating composition, completing the interior landscape the collection proposes. It holds its own as a standalone piece in smaller spaces where a full seating group is not the goal.
About Maison Pierre Favresse
Pierre Favresse is one of the most recognized French designers of his generation. His work explores the intersection of craftsmanship, innovation and human experience.
Trained as a cabinetmaker at École Boulle before graduating from l'École des Arts Décoratifs de Paris, he began his career alongside designer Mathieu Lehanneur, eventually becoming director of his studio. This formative experience shaped his belief that design can create meaningful connections between people, objects and their environment.

Every piece is packed and shipped under insurance, from the workshop to you. White glove delivery (unpacking, installation, packaging removal) is available on request.
