The story
The Thing 3 Ottoman Pill - Small is part of the Konekt Collection, designed by Helena and Natasha Sultan in Pennsylvania. The piece is oblong in form, a rounded pill shape sitting low on a flared base. The top is covered in cream-colored textured upholstery, hand-stitched in the Konekt studio tradition. A polished brass band wraps the body at mid-height, marking the transition from the padded upper section to the base.
Below the brass band, the base is composed of a dense fringe of blonde natural horsehair, the fibers hanging straight and full around the perimeter. The horsehair base gives the ottoman a tactile, grounded presence at floor level. The material combination, cream textile against brass against natural fiber, is consistent with Helena and Natasha Sultan's approach to assembling contrasting materials within a single domestic object.
The Thing 3 Ottoman series extends the vocabulary of the Thing Stools into larger seating formats. This small pill version is handmade in Pennsylvania and available in multiple shapes and sizes within the Konekt Collection.
About Konekt
Konekt is a sculptural furniture and lighting studio based in Pennsylvania, led by mother-daughter team Helena and Natasha Sultan. Their practice starts from material: its physical properties, its craft histories, and what happens when unexpected materials are brought together with traditional ones.
Helena and Natasha produce handcrafted furniture and lighting that pairs contrasting qualities in a single object. Strength and fragility, solidity and fluidity, refinement and play: these are not tensions the work resolves, but tensions the work is made of. Delivery
Every piece is packed and shipped under insurance, from the workshop to you. White glove delivery (unpacking, installation, packaging removal) is available on request. Delivery is not charged at checkout: we send you a quote within 24 business hours of your order. You have 5 days to accept and pay it (secure payment link or bank transfer), otherwise your order is cancelled and fully refunded.
