The story
The Silo Coffee Table with one leg is a low circular table from the Konekt Collection, pairing an ebonized walnut top with a single cylindrical brass pedestal base.
A central brass inlay on the tabletop mirrors the geometry of the pedestal beneath it, establishing a visual axis between surface and support. The cylinder is not merely structural; its proportions are calibrated to sit in visual dialogue with the horizontal plane above, neither element outweighing the other.
Ebonized walnut and brass create a palette of deep brown and aged gold, two materials with distinct characters set into contact by design. The walnut surface retains its grain, the brass its warm metallic tone, and the junction between the two materials is precise and clean.
Part of the Silo Collection by Konekt, a studio led by Helena and Natasha Sultan and based in Pennsylvania. The Silo series extends to a three-leg coffee table, dining table, side table, and console, all sharing the cylindrical brass base and wood-with-inlay construction.
About Konekt
Konekt is a sculptural furniture and lighting studio based in Pennsylvania, led by mother-daughter team Helena and Natasha Sultan. Their practice starts from material: its physical properties, its craft histories, and what happens when unexpected materials are brought together with traditional ones.
Helena and Natasha produce handcrafted furniture and lighting that pairs contrasting qualities in a single object. Strength and fragility, solidity and fluidity, refinement and play: these are not tensions the work resolves, but tensions the work is made of. Each piece carries that balance in its surface, its form, and its finish.
