The story
The Rib Table Lamp Ellipse - Large is a table light from Konekt's Rib collection, shaped as a horizontal ellipse in opal glass, its perimeter traced by dark bronze ribs that divide the form into vertical sections. The large scale makes it a substantial table presence, suited to consoles, sideboards, or wide bedside surfaces where a statement lamp anchors the composition.
Handmade in Pennsylvania by Helena and Natasha Sultan's studio, the lamp draws on the Rib collection's core logic: pairing opal glass with a ribbed metalwork frame, then grounding the piece with a leather-accented base. Opal glass distributes light evenly across its surface without exposing the bulb, producing a warm, diffused glow. The dark bronze ribs introduce depth and weight against the pale glass.
The ellipse silhouette stretches the Rib vocabulary horizontally, distinguishing it from the sphere and capsule variants in the same family. Part of the Konekt Collection, it belongs to a group of lighting pieces, table lamps, floor lamps, pendants, and sconces, that share the same material grammar across multiple scales and silhouettes.
About Konekt
Konekt is a sculptural furniture and lighting studio based in Pennsylvania, led by mother-daughter team Helena and Natasha Sultan. Their practice starts from material: its physical properties, its craft histories, and what happens when unexpected materials are brought together with traditional ones.
Helena and Natasha produce handcrafted furniture and lighting that pairs contrasting qualities in a single object. Strength and fragility, solidity and fluidity, refinement and play: these are not tensions the work resolves, but tensions the work is made of. Each piece carries that balance in its surface, its form, and its finish.
Delivery
Every piece is packed and shipped under insurance, from the workshop to you. White glove delivery (unpacking, installation, packaging removal) is available on request. Delivery is not charged at checkout: we send you a quote within 24 business hours of your order. You have 5 days to accept and pay it (secure payment link or bank transfer), otherwise your order is cancelled and fully refunded.
