Rib Sconce Large Ellipse

The Rib Sconce - Large Ellipse is a wall light from Konekt's Rib collection, blown in Italy and assembled by hand in Pennsylvania by Helena and Natasha Sultan's studio. The elliptical glass body is divided into six equal segments by thin satin brass ribs that radiate from a central domed cap, creating geometric order within the round, organic form of the glass.

The blown glass carries the warmth and slight irregularity of handmade production. Its translucent surface diffuses light broadly, producing soft ambient illumination rather than a focused beam. The brass ribs, fine enough to read as lines rather than structural members, catch light along their edges and create a quiet play of shadow against the diffuser.

Available in two sizes, the Rib Sconce works as a wall-mounted light or, with a simple repositioning, as a ceiling flush mount. This dual function gives architects and interior designers an economical flexibility: one fixture, two configurations.
