The story
The Rib Pendant - Small Ellipse is part of the Konekt Collection by Helena and Natasha Sultan. The pendant presents a horizontal, elongated oval glass diffuser that glows with a warm, even white light. A slender brass rod suspends it from above. Two fine brass bands encircle the shade, sitting close to the glass surface and providing a quiet structural accent that echoes the vertical rib framing used throughout the series.
The glass is blown in Italy, a production partnership Helena and Natasha Sultan chose for the particular quality of its opal diffusion. At the Konekt studio in Pennsylvania, each blown glass shade is fitted with the brass rib frame. A cylindrical brass finial extends from the body, available with optional hand-wrapped leather or suede, a finishing detail that softens the pendant's metal and glass character.
The Rib Pendant series is available in three shapes and five sizes, designed to work alone or in grouped compositions above tables, counters, or open living areas. The ellipse form spreads light laterally, well-suited to rectangular surfaces. Also available as a flush mount ceiling light and wall sconce in the Konekt Collection.
About Konekt
Konekt is a sculptural furniture and lighting studio based in Pennsylvania, led by mother-daughter team Helena and Natasha Sultan. Their practice starts from material: its physical properties, its craft histories, and what happens when unexpected materials are brought together with traditional ones.
Helena and Natasha produce handcrafted furniture and lighting that pairs contrasting qualities in a single object. Strength and fragility, solidity and fluidity, refinement and play: these are not tensions the work resolves, but tensions the work is made of. Each piece carries that balance in its surface, its form, and its finish.
Delivery
Every piece is packed and shipped under insurance, from the workshop to you. White glove delivery (unpacking, installation, packaging removal) is available on request. Delivery is not charged at checkout: we send you a quote within 24 business hours of your order. You have 5 days to accept and pay it (secure payment link or bank transfer), otherwise your order is cancelled and fully refunded.
