Y Yara Fireplace

The Y. Yara Fireplace is a sculptural travertine fireplace designed by Kelly Boukobza for the Y. collection.

Three nested arches define its front face, each set slightly within the last to create a layered, tunnel-like depth. The flanking ends are composed of vertical fluted stone elements, their cylindrical rhythm contrasting with the quieter weight of the arched center. The overall silhouette is low and horizontal, closer to a stone console or altar than a conventional fireplace. In matte travertine, the surface holds natural beige tones with subtle grey undertones across the mass.

Travertine runs the full length of the Yara, chosen for its mineral character and the variation it introduces between pieces. The arched geometry is ancient in reference and rigorous in execution, cut with the same precision that defines the Y. collection. The fluted ends recall classical stonework without citing it directly.

The Yara Fireplace is one of the defining objects of the Y. collection by Kelly Boukobza, an exploration of colliding volumes in raw natural stone.
