The story
The Y Console is a stone console table designed by Kelly Boukobza as part of the Y. collection. Its form is minimal: a long narrow top in light beige travertine with softly rounded edges, supported by two robust cylindrical legs in matching stone. The legs are thick, their diameter in clear proportion to the mass of the top. Subtle striations run horizontally across both elements.
The Console is among the most reduced pieces in the Y. collection. Where the Y Yoki Dining Table and the Y Desk develop complexity through asymmetric bases and integrated millwork, the Console resolves itself in two elements: slab and cylinder. The restraint is precise.
Travertine defines the material character of the Y. collection: raw in texture, warm in tone, naturally varied. In this piece, a single stone runs throughout, connecting top and base. There is no transition between materials, no interruption. The monolithic reading is the point.
The Y Console was designed by Kelly Boukobza and is available through Monde Singulier.
About Kelly Boukobza
Kelly Boukobza is the founder of KY Architecture, a Paris-based interior architecture studio she established in 2012. After studying architecture and working alongside architect Isabelle Stanislas for five years, she launched her own studio with a style she calls Modern Art Deco.
Her references are the French Decorative Arts of the 1950s: Charlotte Perriand, Jeanneret, Serge Mouille, Le Corbusier. She works them against raw materials and the restraint of contemporary minimalism. Her interiors are structured yet lively, built around sober tones and refined atmospheres adapted to how her clients live.
