The story
The Drop 03 Desk Lamp 23 by Interni Venosta is a compact articulated table lamp combining a brushed brass cylindrical shade with a glass sphere swivel joint and a flat circular metal base.
The shade is a short cylinder in brushed brass, fastened with small rivets visible along its rim. It connects to the base through a clear glass sphere that functions as a swivel joint, allowing the shade's angle to be adjusted. A black-and-white patterned textile cord extends from the base.
Materials include brushed brass for the shade and base, clear glass for the sphere joint, and a braided textile cord. The piece is handcrafted by Fabbri Services in Arezzo, Tuscany.
This desk lamp is from Drop 03, the third collection from Interni Venosta, founded by Emiliano Salci and Britt Moran of Dimorestudio. Available through Monde Singulier alongside other Drop 03 lighting and furniture pieces.
About Interni Venosta
Interni Venosta was founded in 2024 by Emiliano Salci and Britt Moran, the duo behind Dimorestudio and Dimoremilano. The brand name pays homage to Carla Venosta, the Italian designer who shaped Milanese interiors in the 1970s and 1980s, not as a revival of her work but as a citation of the culture she stood for: sobriety, material rigor, and modernist thought fused with classical Italian sensibility.
The design language draws from a narrow set of references: the Bauhaus movement, particularly the structural thinking of Marcel Breuer and Gerrit Rietveld, and the minimalist American sculptors Donald Judd, Carl Andre, and Walter de Maria. Furniture stays within a limited palette of glass, brushed or black-lacquered stainless steel, walnut, lacquered wood, and leather. Within those constraints, the focus shifts entirely to proportion and finish.
