The story

The 16 Poltroncina from Drop 03 by Interni Venosta is built from warm-toned wood arranged into a precise, open-sided geometric structure. Between the main wooden elements, a cylindrical grey upholstered backrest is suspended, its soft volume set against the angular precision of the frame. A thin silver-toned metal trim runs along the base, completing the form with characteristic restraint.

The result is a compact chair with strong spatial presence. Its open construction shows the structural logic clearly, in the tradition of Marcel Breuer and Gerrit Rietveld, the Bauhaus designers who shaped the founding vision of Emiliano Salci and Britt Moran for Interni Venosta. The 16 Poltroncina belongs to the Drop 03 collection, launched after the brand's celebrated Milan Design Week debut in 2024.

Produced by Fabbri Services in Arezzo, Tuscany, it is handcrafted in Italy from noble materials. Its measured proportions make it a suitable companion to larger seating in a considered interior.

About Interni Venosta
Interni Venosta

Interni Venosta was founded in 2024 by Emiliano Salci and Britt Moran, the duo behind Dimorestudio and Dimoremilano. The brand name pays homage to Carla Venosta, the Italian designer who shaped Milanese interiors in the 1970s and 1980s, not as a revival of her work but as a citation of the culture she stood for: sobriety, material rigor, and modernist thought fused with classical Italian sensibility.

The design language draws from a narrow set of references: the Bauhaus movement, particularly the structural thinking of Marcel Breuer and Gerrit Rietveld, and the minimalist American sculptors Donald Judd, Carl Andre, and Walter de Maria. Furniture stays within a limited palette of glass, brushed or black-lacquered stainless steel, walnut, lacquered wood, and leather. Within those constraints, the focus shifts entirely to proportion and finish.
