The story
The Drop 01 chair by Interni Venosta was among the first pieces shown at the brand's debut during Milan Design Week 2024. It is a cantilevered form with a rectangular warm brown wooden backrest, a square seat woven from natural rattan, and U-shaped tubular chrome legs. The structure reads as an object reduced to the minimum required to support the body, in the spirit of Marcel Breuer's tubular steel chairs and the Bauhaus school that Emiliano Salci and Britt Moran have named as a founding reference for Interni Venosta.
Rattan is an unusual choice within the brand's material vocabulary, which tends toward glass, leather, and polished or lacquered metals. Here it introduces texture and warmth, softening the chrome geometry of the base. The chair works as a dining or accent piece.
Produced by Fabbri Services in Arezzo, Tuscany, the Drop 01 chair is handcrafted in Italy from noble materials.
About Interni Venosta
Interni Venosta was founded in 2024 by Emiliano Salci and Britt Moran, the duo behind Dimorestudio and Dimoremilano. The brand name pays homage to Carla Venosta, the Italian designer who shaped Milanese interiors in the 1970s and 1980s, not as a revival of her work but as a citation of the culture she stood for: sobriety, material rigor, and modernist thought fused with classical Italian sensibility.
The design language draws from a narrow set of references: the Bauhaus movement, particularly the structural thinking of Marcel Breuer and Gerrit Rietveld, and the minimalist American sculptors Donald Judd, Carl Andre, and Walter de Maria. Furniture stays within a limited palette of glass, brushed or black-lacquered stainless steel, walnut, lacquered wood, and leather. Within those constraints, the focus shifts entirely to proportion and finish.

Every piece is packed and shipped under insurance, from the workshop to you. White glove delivery (unpacking, installation, packaging removal) is available on request.
