The story
The Plinth Table Lamp builds its base from stacked, faceted layers of travertine, the stone cut into horizontal tiers rather than shaped from a single block. An octagonal linen shade rests directly on the base, warm brown and close-woven, diffusing a soft ambient glow. The layered travertine and the proximate shade keep the object at a domestic, intimate scale. Designed by Emre Yunus Uzun as part of the five-piece Plinth collection.

Emre Yunus Uzun is a designer and creative director based in Istanbul, Turkey, specializing in furniture and spatial structures. Emre approaches his projects with a profound attention to materials, forms and spaces.
