The story
The Stamp Bookcase by Christophe Perichon is a tall, narrow shelving unit that brings the Stamp collection's material language to the vertical plane. Developed exclusively for Monde Singulier, it is available as a signed, numbered edition.
The structure is organized around a corrugated profile: the outer left panel is upholstered in orange-brown leather with white stitching following the raised and recessed ridges, while the interior shelves and right face are finished in highly reflective black and silver stainless steel. The contrast is stark and deliberate, warm textile against mirror-bright metal, the two faces of the collection's core material duality visible in a single piece.
The open compartments run the full height of the unit, keeping the steel shelving visible from any angle and reinforcing the vertical rhythm of the leather corrugation alongside it. Within the Stamp collection, the bookcase is one of the few pieces where structural steel is displayed rather than concealed beneath upholstery.
Each piece carries a serial number and certificate of authenticity.
About Christophe Perichon
Christophe Perichon is a furniture designer and interior architect based in Versailles, France. Over more than twenty years of practice, his studio has worked across residential and hospitality projects, developing an approach rooted in material contrast.
His work rests on a tension between stainless steel and leather. Rather than treating them as opposing forces, Périchon builds each piece to hold both in structural balance, so a single object reads as architectural precision and tactile warmth at once. The stainless steel carries a kaleidoscopic depth, its reflective surfaces multiplying light and extending perceived space; the leather grounds that optical play with physical weight and grain. The result resists easy classification, neither purely decorative nor purely functional.
Delivery
Every piece is packed and shipped under insurance, from the workshop to you. White glove delivery (unpacking, installation, packaging removal) is available on request. Delivery is not charged at checkout: we send you a quote within 24 business hours of your order. You have 5 days to accept and pay it (secure payment link or bank transfer), otherwise your order is cancelled and fully refunded.
