The story
The Stamp Armchair by Christophe Perichon is a low-profile barrel chair developed exclusively for Monde Singulier, available as a signed, numbered edition within the Stamp collection.
The seating shell is a continuous curve: the back flows without interruption into the arms, all upholstered in orange leather with prominent white contrast stitching. That unbroken arc sits on an angular, faceted metal frame incorporating both polished chrome and reflective black panels. The contrast between the soft, rounded upholstered volume above and the geometric, mirror-surfaced base below is the piece's central statement.
The Stamp collection's recurring logic places stainless steel and leather in the same object, each amplifying the other. In the armchair, this relationship is spatial: the rounded upholstered form floats above the angular metallic base, the transition between them sharp and deliberate. Christophe Perichon treats the chrome frame not as a support to be hidden but as a visible counterweight to the warmth of the leather.
Each chair carries a serial number and certificate of authenticity.
About Christophe Perichon
Christophe Perichon is a furniture designer and interior architect based in Versailles, France. Over more than twenty years of practice, his studio has worked across residential and hospitality projects, developing an approach rooted in material contrast.
His work rests on a tension between stainless steel and leather. Rather than treating them as opposing forces, Périchon builds each piece to hold both in structural balance, so a single object reads as architectural precision and tactile warmth at once. The stainless steel carries a kaleidoscopic depth, its reflective surfaces multiplying light and extending perceived space; the leather grounds that optical play with physical weight and grain. The result resists easy classification, neither purely decorative nor purely functional.
Delivery
Every piece is packed and shipped under insurance, from the workshop to you. White glove delivery (unpacking, installation, packaging removal) is available on request. Delivery is not charged at checkout: we send you a quote within 24 business hours of your order. You have 5 days to accept and pay it (secure payment link or bank transfer), otherwise your order is cancelled and fully refunded.
