The story
The AR11v2 ESE is a low-profile chaise lounge from the Amare Collection, designed by Bertille Achard de la Vente. Its form traces a continuous S-curve, moving from the reclined backrest down to a flat leg rest without break or ornament.
The base is dark distressed wood from Tuscany, carrying the natural grain and surface irregularities of the original material. A light beige textile cushion sits across the full length of the piece, the fabric's pale warmth setting against the wood's depth. Together, they create the visual tension that runs through all Amare work: raw against refined, dark against pale.
This second version of the AR11 recalibrates the original's proportions. The seat sits close to the floor. The backrest angle is measured and low. This is a piece that occupies a room quietly, through material weight rather than scale.

About Amare
AMARE is an Italian design studio founded by Bertille Achard de la Vente. Based in Tuscany, the studio makes furniture at the intersection of minimalism and brutalism, drawing on the particular stones, woods, and metals of the region.
Achard de la Vente established AMARE around a single premise: that raw material deserves to be the subject of a piece, not its backdrop. Each object in the Amare Collection is designed to make the source material visible. The wood is distressed rather than smoothed. The stone carries its veining without intervention. The steel ages rather than being sealed. Nothing is mediated away from what the original material was.
Delivery
Every piece is packed and shipped under insurance, from the workshop to you. White glove delivery (unpacking, installation, packaging removal) is available on request. Delivery is not charged at checkout: we send you a quote within 24 business hours of your order. You have 5 days to accept and pay it (secure payment link or bank transfer), otherwise your order is cancelled and fully refunded.
