RELIC - RELIC - CREAM

The Relic Cream is a handbuilt ceramic vessel by Sierra Kanistanaux with a pale beige rectangular body, its surface dense with a sediment-like texture that reads as compressed coastal limestone. Four smooth ammonite spiral forms rise vertically on each side, stacked from base to shoulder in a precise order that makes this the most architecturally structured piece in the Relic series.

Unlike the shell clusters of other Relic variants or the wave extensions of Tiger’s Eye, the Cream arranges fossil forms in a strict vertical sequence on a pale ground. The ammonite reliefs emerge as if selectively polished, their curves smooth against the body’s sedimentary surface. The palette amplifies legibility: on cream, every fossil form reads in full clarity.

Handbuilt in San Francisco. The ammonite reliefs are slightly smoother than the surrounding body texture, as though the surface has been worn by water at different rates across the same stone.
