The Funki Pot is a brushed aluminium object from the Louise Roe Collection, designed as a geometric container for indoor plants or as a standalone decorative piece.
Its form is hexagonal, a short cylinder divided into six flat vertical facets with a circular opening at the top and bottom. The proportions favor width over height, giving the piece a compact, grounded quality. The matte silver-grey finish is uniform across all faces, with no applied decoration beyond the faceting itself.
Brushed aluminium is a recurring material in Louise Roe's Funki series, chosen for its durability and consistent surface behavior. The directional brushing leaves a fine texture visible on close inspection, a tactile counterpoint to the geometric precision of the form.
The Funki Pot belongs to the broader Funki family within the Louise Roe Collection, a group of aluminium objects and seating that extends the same hexagonal and octagonal vocabulary across different categories: pots, stools, benches, and tables.

About
Louise Roe
Louise Roe is a Copenhagen-based designer whose practice spans vessels, ceramics, lighting, and furniture. Founded in 2010, the studio draws on the material clarity of Danish design while incorporating the production rigour Roe developed during her training in fashion and concept development.
That background shapes a distinctive method. Roe approaches each piece as she once approached garments: tracing it from sketch to finished form, managing the full production arc rather than delegating it. She works in close partnership with skilled independent craftspeople across Europe, artisans who have refined their disciplines across generations. Materials are chosen for honesty. Glass, ceramic, textile, stone, and oak appear throughout her collections as structural choices rather than decorative ones.
Her work finds balance between formal restraint and material presence. Signature pieces such as the Funki series, worked in brushed aluminium, and the Spina chairs show how Roe brings industrial materials into quiet domestic contexts without softening their character. Modelling in wax is central to her process: a small adjustment of the thumb can shift an object's entire reading.
The Louise Roe Gallery opened in central Copenhagen in 2018, adding an exhibition space and café to the brand's presence in the city.
Monde Singulier carries a selection from the Louise Roe Collection, including tableware, vessels, and lighting designed for interiors that value European craft and material integrity.
