The Frank Footstool is a marble piece by Aurélia Bouyssonie, part of the Tribute Collection by Marmo Spirito in Tunis.
Conceived as a companion to the Frank Sofa and Frank Armchair, the footstool maintains the same flat-plane geometry and low profile that define the collection's formal language. The proportions are compact and resolved: a solid marble volume that reads as both functional object and sculptural form.
The material carries the same logic as the rest of the Tribute Collection. Stone is left in its natural state, with visible veining and a finish that expresses the mineral character of the marble rather than refining it away. The piece gains presence from mass and proportion, not surface treatment.
In the context of Bouyssonie's practice, the footstool is the smallest unit of a larger architectural meditation on seating, form, and material. With the Frank Sofa and Frank Armchair, it completes a body of work that treats marble as furniture-making's most demanding medium.

About
Marmo Spirito
Aurélia Bouyssonie is a French architect and designer based in Tunis, working under Marmo Spirito, a brand she founded around marble furniture and material experimentation.
Educated in Rome and Paris, she developed a minimalist approach rooted in Mediterranean vernacular architecture. Her declared references are Mies van der Rohe and Jean Michel Frank: both offer the same lesson in restraint, where essential forms and noble materials do the work that ornament refuses to do. Bouyssonie applies that discipline to furniture that reads as sculpture first, seating second.
From a hybrid gallery-studio on the outskirts of Tunis, she also leads Phosphor, a creative collective that has turned the surrounding neighborhood into a production and exhibition hub. The studio operates across architecture commissions and object design, with marble as the constant thread.
On Monde Singulier, Marmo Spirito is represented by the Tribute Collection: the Frank Sofa, Frank Armchair, and Frank Footstool. Each piece is carved from marble, conceived as architectural marble seating that pays direct homage to the two masters who give the collection its name. The result is sculptural marble furniture designed to hold its character over decades, not seasons.
