Tribute Collection
By Marmo Spirito
About the collection
The Tribute Collection is Marmo Spirito's homage to two masters of modernist restraint: Mies van der Rohe and Jean Michel Frank. French architect Aurélia Bouyssonie designed the collection in Tunis as a formal study in what remains when ornament is removed.
Three pieces constitute the collection: the Frank Sofa, the Frank Armchair, and the Frank Footstool. Each is cut from marble, inheriting the flat planes, low profiles, and essential proportions that define Bouyssonie's approach to sculptural marble furniture. The naming is direct: the Frank line carries the weight of its reference without ambiguity.
Available on Monde Singulier, the Tribute Collection represents Marmo Spirito's core argument, that architectural marble seating belongs in the same conversation as the work that inspired it.
