Marmo Spirito

Aurélia Bouyssonie is a French architect and designer based in Tunisia, she draws profound inspiration from her Mediterranean roots and the vernacular architecture of southern Tunisia. Educated in Rome and Paris, she embraces both heritage and innovation, guided by a minimalist approach that blends intelligence, functionality, and emotion. After founding her agency in Tunis, she launched Marmo Spirito, a brand dedicated to marble and material experimentation. Her work explores the dialogue between architecture and design, where furniture becomes both sculpture and structure. In a hybrid gallery-agency space on the outskirts of Tunis, she curates exhibitions and leads the Phosphor creative collective, transforming the neighborhood into a cultural hub. Influenced by masters like Mies van der Rohe and cinematic aesthetics—especially retro-Hollywood glamour—she seeks timeless beauty through essential forms, noble materials, and the poetry of construction.
