About the collection

The International collection is BATEAUMAGNE's capsule designed exclusively for Monde Singulier, conceived by Audrey Magne and Julien Bâteau.

Founded in 2012 as an interior architecture practice in France, the studio builds spaces around how materials are actually experienced: touched, sat in, lived with. For this collection, they worked with two material families. The Coffee Table "B" pairs brushed stainless steel sculptural pedestals with an oval bronze-tinted glass top; the name comes from the B-shaped profile of its central leg. The bench and fireside chair are upholstered in Pierre Frey corded speckled wool, a fabric whose multicolored flecks reference the 1970s without nostalgia. The fourth piece is a wool rug bearing an exclusive pattern commissioned from Parisian artist Hélène Paris.

All four pieces are made in Europe. The studio calls this approach "barefoot luxury": furniture that is formally precise and materially considered, but warm enough to inhabit without ceremony.
