Jul de Roover

Jul de Roover was a Belgian furniture designer active in the mid-twentieth century, a figure of Belgian post-war modernism. His furniture, including sideboards, tables and seating, combines fine woods such as rosewood and teak with metal frames in clean, linear compositions. His work shows the influence of international modernism adapted to Belgian craftsmanship. Collectors value his cabinetry for its proportions and the quality of its veneers.
