The Lino Coffee Table is a low table cut entirely from dark grey and white veined natural stone, with two thick slab-legs that share the visual weight of the top without apology.
Arielle Assouline-Lichten built the Lino with stone as both material and logic. The rectangular top, its edges left rounded rather than sharp, rests on two vertical slabs whose raw-textured sides are intentionally visible, presenting the stone's cut face as a structural feature rather than a detail to hide. A horizontal bar runs between the legs underneath; a circular metal accent sits on one leg surface, a minimal intervention that reads as a signature without competing with the stone.
The stone selected for the Lino Coffee Table shows strong directional veining, dark charcoal crossing lighter fields. The slab-form construction amplifies the geological character of the material: this is furniture that makes no attempt to disguise its origin. The result is a piece that works in both residential and institutional settings.
Part of the Coexist collection by Slash Objects, the Lino Coffee Table is made to order by skilled artisans under Arielle Assouline-Lichten's direction. Available on Monde Singulier.

About
Slash Objects
Arielle Assouline-Lichten is an artist, architect, and multidisciplinary designer whose work explores materiality, ephemerality, and the pursuit of form. Her approach to furniture design is rooted in elevating overlooked source materials to create bespoke elegance. She is the founder of Slash Objects, a studio based in New York and Paris, that works at the tension between the natural world and man-made processes.
Arielle has studied and worked in Copenhagen and Tokyo, shaping her minimal and intentional aesthetic. Her signature collection Coexist plays with balance and harmony, probing the intersection between materials. Her collection Unbroken explores transience, celebrates imperfection, and questions the ephemeral nature of materials over time.
Guided by an architectural ethos, every piece is a study in balance and structure, built to answer equally to function and form. Each piece is made to order by world-class artisans, creating collectible furniture that roots together earth, hand, mind and body. Her work is available on Monde Singulier.
