About
Pietro Franceschini
Pietro Franceschini is an architect and designer working between New York and Florence. In 2020, he founded PF|Studio, a practice focused on interior and collectible furniture design, fusing contemporary spatial thinking with a classical Italian sensibility.
His furniture occupies the territory between architecture and object-making. Franceschini builds pieces with a calculated irreverence: playful proportions, forms that press on the boundary between functionality and digital illusion, objects that are sophisticated without being static. The work belongs to the Italian contemporary furniture tradition, grounded in material discipline, but filtered through a New York sensibility that keeps it from settling into classicism.
Trained at Università degli Studi di Firenze and Pratt Institute in New York, Franceschini worked at Leeser Architecture in Brooklyn, Claudio Nardi in Florence, Laisne Roussel in Paris, and Carlo Ratti Associati before founding PF|Studio. That range of collaborators shaped the studio's approach: formal Italian architectural rigour in dialogue with the procedural ambition of large-scale international practice.
On Monde Singulier, Pietro Franceschini's collectible work sits among designers who treat furniture as a spatial proposition rather than an object category.
