Coexist

The Coexist Collection by Slash Objects sets contrasting materials against one another: brass and concrete, rubber and marble, travertine and textile. Arielle Assouline-Lichten draws from architecture and minimalism to compose objects where raw industrial elements sit directly beside softer, more refined surfaces. Six pieces, all made to order.

The collection's organizing principle is tension, not resolved but held. Organic forms and irregular textures press against sharp lines and precise hardware. Pieces such as the Coexist Bench in travertine and wood, the Adri Chair with its stone panels and sling seat, and the Oni Coffee Table in variegated stone each show how materials from opposite ends of the tactile spectrum can share a single object.
