This beautiful Art Deco nickel plated metal table vanity mirror was designed by André Domin and Marcel Genevrière for Maison Dominique in France in the 1930s. It features a step-up rectangular base with a beautiful reclining round mirror. A perfect mirror for a bedroom or dressing room. It is really heavy, made with high-quality materials and beautiful craftsmanship, Maison Dominique being truly renowned for it. The nickel plated metal has been fully cleaned and gently polished, and the piece is found in an amazing vintage condition. A true French Art Deco beauty, and a collector piece, that will impart its glamourous energy to any space it inhabits.
À propos de Maison Dominique
Dominique was a Paris decoration house founded in 1922 by André Domin and Marcel Genevrière. Active from the Art Deco period into the 1950s, it produced furniture, lighting and complete interiors, favouring rare woods, lacquer, fine leather and refined metal details. The firm exhibited regularly at the Paris salons and furnished private and official commissions. Collectors look for signed pieces of the 1920s to 1940s with original finishes.
