The Tibur Table is a low coffee table from Studio Paolo Ferrari's Tibur Collection, cut from light beige travertine.
The oblong top slab features softly rounded ends and sits across two separate rectangular slab bases. The gap between the bases, a deliberate void at the center, gives this dense material an open, lighter reading without compromising the table's solidity. The natural porous texture of the travertine covers every surface: shallow cavities, warm gradations from cream to gold, and the stone's own geological markings remain visible and untreated.
The Tibur Collection applies a single material logic across several forms, lounge chair, sofa, and coffee table, all travertine, all sharing the same geological origin rather than a decorative theme. Travertine was chosen for this quality: its surface is never uniform, never reproducible in the industrial sense. Studio Paolo Ferrari developed this material discipline through hospitality interior commissions including work at Raffles Boston and the Forma Tower residential project in Toronto.

About
Studio Paolo Ferrari
Studio Paolo Ferrari is a Toronto-based interior design practice founded in 2016 by Paolo Ferrari. Before establishing the studio, Ferrari served as Design Director at Yabu Pushelberg for six years, building technical depth in luxury hospitality projects across North America and Europe.
The studio's approach treats each commission as a contained world. Ferrari draws on cinema, art, and architecture as structural references, particularly the spatial storytelling of Kubrick and Lynch, the material rigor of Donald Judd, and the formal precision of Alvar Aalto. This framing informs the studio's defining move: pairing materials and aesthetics from different eras until the space holds genuine tension. The Secret Room at Five Palm Jumeirah in Dubai, with fresco-like walls against a futuristic bar volume, is one of the more cited examples. The Long Bar & Terrace at Raffles Boston won the AHEAD Americas Award in 2024.
Active globally, the studio works in North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, with clients including Raffles, Four Seasons, Sanlorenzo Yachts, Red Sea Global, Auberge Resorts, 1 Hotels, Holt Renfrew, and Poltrona Frau. Boutique Design named Studio Paolo Ferrari its 2025 Designer of the Year.
Alongside the studio, Ferrari founded Editions Paolo Ferrari in 2016, a handcrafted furniture collection produced in Canada. Each edition is a conceptually unified body of objects at the junction of sculpture and function. Pieces from the Editions Paolo Ferrari collection are available on Monde Singulier.
