About the collection
The Tibur Collection by Studio Paolo Ferrari draws its principles from Roman philosophy, specifically Vitruvius' three attributes of good architecture: strength, utility and beauty. Designed with the inherent longevity of architecture in mind, every piece in this collection treats stone carving not as ornament but as practice, a commitment to forms that outlast their moment.
Each piece is carved from light beige travertine, a stone whose natural porous texture carries geological time into domestic space. The Tibur Sofa's faceted angular ends contrast with its continuous curved seat; the Tibur Lounge renders the monolithic form of a chair through cylindrical arms that curve seamlessly from the structure; the Tibur Table rests an elongated slab on two separate rectangular bases, leaving a central void that gives the solid stone unexpected lightness.
The collection carries a stoicism and temperance that resists trend. These are objects made to be inherited.
