L'Établissement Collection - Table Basse n°1

L'Établissement is an artisan furniture workshop in La Courneuve, north of Paris. Quentin Pigeat founded it in 2022 after ten years as an architect, bringing a trained eye for proportion and structure to a practice rooted in carpentry and joinery.

The workshop makes handcrafted wooden furniture and objects from solid materials: oak, walnut, and raw timber chosen for their natural character. Pigeat's approach follows the French tradition of menuiserie, with structural joints, honest material use, and surfaces left to show how the wood was worked. No veneer, no finish that conceals the grain.

That restraint is deliberate. The workshop's guiding principle is to respect raw materials in their nature and imperfections, combining them in their simplest forms to produce objects with lasting use. The carpenter's sensibility runs through the studio's entire output: chairs, armchairs, and tables where the joinery is visible and load-bearing.

Each piece in the collection can be customized on request. The atelier also takes bespoke commissions for furniture and spatial objects, working with private clients on made-to-order projects.

On Monde Singulier, L'Établissement offers its line of custom wood furniture built in La Courneuve: armchairs, dining chairs, and low tables available to order, each one carrying the direct marks of its making.
