The Pedregal Daybed is a low lounge piece by Atelier de Troupe, part of the Pedregal Collection inspired by the textures and geometry of Mexican modernist architecture.
The form is elongated, with a substantial base in light brown timber that carries a visible grain. Dark brown upholstered cushions span the length of the piece, and integrated curved end bolsters soften the profile at each end. Angled wooden supports extend from the base to meet the rounded upholstered ends, giving the structure a quietly architectural quality.
Materials are selected for their tactile presence: the wood for its grain, the upholstery for its contrast against the timber. The Daybed is made to order in Atelier de Troupe's Los Angeles studio.

About
De Troupe
Gabriel Abraham founded Atelier de Troupe in Los Angeles in 2011, drawing on fifteen years as a production designer for film and television. Born in Switzerland and raised in Aix-en-Provence, Abraham moved to Los Angeles in 1995. His transition into object design began in the Schindler-designed Bubeshko Apartments, where he started building lamps to complement the modernist interior. That origin tells you everything about his approach: the studio conceives each piece like a film set, building atmosphere before committing to form.
The aesthetic draws from Bauhaus minimalism, French Art Deco, and the cinematic design of 1960s Italy. Working with brass, bronze, hand-blown glass, and steel, Abraham produces lighting and furniture made to order in the studio's 4,500-square-foot atelier in West Adams, each piece built by artisans based in Los Angeles.
Signature series such as the Pedregal collection, worked in glazed lava stone and wood inspired by Mexican modernist architecture, and the Empire lighting series, presented at Milan Design Week, illustrate the studio's formal range. Selected as a Rising Talent at Maison&Objet Paris in 2019, Atelier de Troupe has earned recognition across the collectible design field for its luxury handcrafted lighting and furniture.
On Monde Singulier, the studio's pieces are available made to order for collectors drawn to objects where material precision and cinematic atmosphere converge.
