About the collection
The natural continuation of a married couple’s life and creative endeavors. Gilberto Bonelli, an Italian architect and the head of the 3D company DIORAMA, and Bertille Achard de la Vente, a French artistic director in fashion and painter, embarked on a personal project. They sought a construction site in La Maddalena, an Italian island between Corsica and Sardinia, where they desired a personalized lifestyle. The region’s lack of desired pieces appealed to Bertille, and the name AMARE was chosen. Following a flight from Paris to Tuscany, Siena became their home for both family life and creative pursuits. The discovery of local artisans and the region’s diverse possibilities led to the realization of AMARE. Bertille designs and imagines while Gilberto manages brand development and client relations. AMARE focuses on essentials, showcasing unique pieces that align with Bertille’s minimalist and distinctive pictorial work. It combines bronze, marble, and travertine with charred wood and woven linens, aiming to become an esteemed and, perhaps indispensable, brand in the realm of exceptional and rare items. The ultimate objective is to establish a hub where international designers can connect with Tuscan artisans.
