The Douro Cabinet is a two-door piece in solid oak, part of the Douro storage series within the Project 213A Collection. Its most distinctive feature is the carved wooden handle that spans the full width of both doors, a single geometric form worked in an interlocking pattern, divided by the vertical seam between the two panels. The handle requires both doors to be read as one surface, reinforcing the unity of the piece. Metallic hinges sit on the outer edges, visible and precise against the oak's pale grain. The cabinet stands on two thick wooden legs joined by a stretcher, a base that lifts the body clear of the floor without reducing its visual weight.
Handmade in solid oak by skilled artisans in Northern Portugal, the piece carries the natural grain variation inherent to the material. Bespoke dimensions and interior shelving configurations are available upon request.
The Douro Cabinet belongs to the Project 213A Collection, the debut furniture range by Project 213A, founded in 2021 by Jurgita Dileviciute, Theresa Marx, and Clement Deboeuf. Across the Douro line, the cabinet, credenza, and bedside tables share the same geometric carved hardware and consistent material treatment.

Project 213A
Project 213A is a Portuguese design house founded in 2021 by Jurgita Dileviciute, Theresa Marx, and Clement Deboeuf. The name comes from a London address where each founder lived at separate points during their studies, a shared geography that preceded their professional collaboration.
The idea for the studio took shape during the 2020 lockdown, when the three founders combined their professional backgrounds to build something together. Project 213A has operated from in-house ceramic and wood workshops in Northern Portugal since its launch, working alongside skilled local artisans whose traditional craftsmanship shapes every piece in the catalog.
The studio's design philosophy is built around durability over trend. Each object is made to last decades, not to fit a particular season's aesthetic. Collections carry the names of Portuguese cities and regions, a practice that grounds the work in the territory and the communities whose making traditions the brand draws from.
The range spans handcrafted ceramics and handmade wooden furniture, both produced locally with artisan techniques developed over generations in Northern Portugal. This focus on Portuguese craftsmanship and material integrity distinguishes Project 213A within the contemporary European design studio landscape.
