About the collection
Samuel Accoceberry's collection at Monde Singulier gathers six pieces around a single material signature: alabaster. Five pendant lights (Dot, Disco, Scale, Big Scale, Bowl) each approach the stone differently, from the compact geometry of the Dot to the monumental volume of the Big Scale, diffusing warm, organic light through walls of natural stone.
The Galactica A, in steel and copper, is the counterpoint. A decorative object rather than a light source, it maps the night sky in warm metal, and marks Accoceberry's range across materials and between industrial production and limited-edition craft.
Accoceberry founded his Paris-Biarritz studio in 2010. By 2013, he had received the Grand Prix de la Création de la Ville de Paris. His work has since entered the collections of MoMA, the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, and the Triennale di Milano.
