Écrin

Écrin is a furniture collection by Atelier PA, comprising three pieces shaped by a single formal discipline: bench, table, armchair.

The name, French for "jewel case," sets the register. Each object is designed to frame what it holds, whether a room, a body, or light itself. Curves meet right angles without compromise. Transparency plays against opacity. The formal language is consistent across all three pieces: rational, precise, quiet.

Light does the rest. It reveals contours and materials, casting shifting shadows in the spaces these objects inhabit, shadows that change with the hour and the season. Julien Pradignac, who founded Atelier PA at the intersection of architecture, interior design, and furniture, treats this play of light as a design material in its own right.

Crafted in France, each piece carries the artisan attention to detail that defines the studio's practice.
