About the collection
The Batlló & Calvet collection is Antoni Gaudí's complete furniture vocabulary in authorized production, faithfully reproduced by BD Barcelona in solid varnished oak. Eight pieces draw from two buildings: Casa Calvet (1898) and Casa Batlló (1904), both UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
Gaudí conceived each piece as an architectural extension, not a standalone object. No straight lines, every surface carved, every leg a response to natural forms. The Batlló Chair and bench carry the undulating character of the Passeig de Gràcia façade; the Calvet series (chair, armchair, stool, bench, and mirror) holds the ornamental discipline of his first major Barcelona commission.
Seven seating pieces and one decorative mirror, each reproduced in solid varnished oak using the same traditional techniques Gaudí specified. Available in full on Monde Singulier.
