About the collection

The Orso collection by Mathieu Delacroix comprises five upholstered seating pieces: sofa, armchair, chaise longue, divan, and ottoman. Each pursues a single formal objective: a compact, continuous silhouette that reads as one coherent form and settles into a room without imposing on it.

Soft curves are held within strict proportions. The upholstery reads as a single skin rather than assembled layers, and a recessed dark plinth lifts each piece off the floor, reinforcing the monolithic quality that runs throughout Delacroix's practice. That quality is visible in pieces such as the Orso Sofa and the Orso Armchair, where the envelope of fabric and the base work together as a single resolved object.

The formal language sits at the intersection of contemporary restraint and a more lasting warmth. Orso does not resolve a specific trend; it is furniture built for long use in varied interiors. Available exclusively on Monde Singulier.
