Monumental Wonders began with a question both studios have spent decades asking in parallel: what can stone do when given the same design intelligence as a building?

SolidNature, founded in the Netherlands in 2011, works with materials that resist categorization. Rare marbles, onyxes with formation histories measured in millennia, stone with natural patterning that cannot be approximated. OMA, the Rotterdam office behind some of the most scrutinized buildings of the past forty years, brings an architectural sensibility rooted in geometry, weight, and the way objects inhabit space.

Together, the collection proposes a new category. Not furniture that references architecture, but objects that operate by architectural logic. Heavy, intentional, and built to hold attention rather than simply fill it.
