Mona

The Mona collection marks the first design collaboration between the two founders and required nearly three years of development alongside the workshops of cabinetmaker Steven Le Prizé.

Conceived as a balance between verticality and horizontality, Mona embodies Studio Yzé’s technical and aesthetic standards, with each piece entirely produced by Breton artisans.

The structure of each piece is made from American walnut, meticulously hand-fitted. Belsuede velvet (Dedars) was selected for its ability to capture light and reveal volume. Particular care was given to ergonomics, allowing the pieces to accommodate different body types while maintaining firmness and lasting comfort.

Here, Studio Yzé reinterprets classical aesthetic codes (notably through fluted detailing), introducing greater softness and a subtle 1970s influence. Timeless, the Mona collection exists within a stylistic territory that is difficult to categorize, somewhere between heritage and contemporaneity.
