About the collection

The Michel Mortier 10497/10527 collection pairs two Disderot lighting models designed in 1972 and originally published by Verre Lumière: the Floor Lamp 10527 and the Table Lamp 10497.

Both pieces share the same formal vocabulary: an opaline glass shade that diffuses light evenly, an aluminium base with a clean cylindrical geometry, and a silhouette that reads as quietly contemporary as it did five decades ago. Mortier's design does not age because it never relied on period styling. The proportions are functional, the materials unassuming.

Disderot's reissue introduces gradient colour editions, available exclusively on Monde Singulier in three finishes: Beige, Green, and Blue. The gradients run from shade to base in a single continuous transition, distinguishing this edition from the original Verre Lumière production. Both models are numbered and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
