About the collection

The Meï collection, designed by Agence Volta exclusively for Monde Singulier, holds to a single organizing principle: form serves material.

Founded by Agathe Lavaud, Agence Volta built the collection around a formal discipline of regular, symmetrical lines chosen not as aesthetic endpoints but as structural conditions that let the selected wood speak. The broad frontal planes characteristic of each piece, visible in works including the Meï 06 Dining Table and the Meï 07 Console, treat every surface as a field for the material to express itself. Geometry steps back; the walnut takes over.

That restraint extends to the seating range. Pieces such as the Meï 02 Bar Stool and the Meï 04 Chair follow the same vocabulary: symmetry, frontality, and a refusal to decorate what the material already does well.
