About the collection

The Médano collection takes its name from the sand dunes of Uruguay's Atlantic coast (médano: sand dune in Spanish), those long low formations of wind and sediment that sculpt a coastline over centuries. Estudio Persona, the Los Angeles studio founded by Emiliana Gonzalez and Jessie Young, translated that coastal topography into a seating line built on stepped tiered forms, low profiles, and the geometric restraint that defines their brutalist-minimalist practice.

Four pieces make up the collection: two sofas and two lounge chairs, each available in bouclette or velvet upholstery. The multi-level lounge surfaces that characterise every piece create distinct zones for seating and reclining within a single form. Upholstery runs from a light, textured bouclette to deep charcoal or forest green velvet. The structure carries its own ornamentation.

A Monde Singulier exclusive.
