Kursi Chair
By Sizar Alexis
About the collection
KURSI is a collection by Sizar Alexis built around a single sculptural chair, available exclusively on Monde Singulier.
Conceived as an exercise in formal reduction, the collection rests on one premise: geometry that endures rather than follows. The KURSI chair draws from Brutalist architectural logic, with clean volumes and proportional interplay that read as three-dimensional form before they read as furniture. Alexis stripped the construction to its essential geometry, producing a chair whose weight feels deliberate rather than arbitrary.
The piece sits within Alexis's sustained inquiry into natural materials and structural honesty, in the lineage of collections such as Lahmu and Ode. Where those collections work across object and furniture typologies, KURSI concentrates his formal vocabulary into one: a chair built to stand on its own terms.
Available exclusively through Monde Singulier.
