Arès

The Arès collection is a Monde Singulier exclusive by Paris studio Roche & Frères. Two armchairs in sculptural steel and velvet, conceived from the mythology of armor.

Named for the Greek god of war, the design draws from the metal plates of ancient shields and breastplates. The steel frame bends into curves that carry structural weight while remaining tactile, soft at the arm. Alexandre and Maxence Roche, twin brothers trained in interior architecture and theatre scenography, presented the Arès at Paris Design Week 2024, their first public showing.

The collection comes in two finishes: brushed stainless steel paired with Wine red velvet, and black mat steel with Perla beige upholstery. Each piece handcrafted by master artisans in France.
