About the collection
The Fragua Collection takes its name from the Spanish word fragua; a forge, a place where metal is heated, shaped, and transformed through fire and force.
This collection is rooted in metallurgy and the enduring tradition of metalwork in Mexico. It draws from a lineage of artisanship where material is not only manipulated, but understood, where heat, resistance, and time become part of the process of making.
While its material language is grounded in heritage, the formal expression moves toward a more rigid and architectural direction. The geometries are influenced by brutalism defined by weight, repetition, and clarity of form. This contrast between past and present, between hand and structure, is central to the collection.
Stainless steel is the primary material across all pieces. Its reflective and resilient nature allows us to explore both precision and permanence. It is paired selectively with wood and textiles to introduce warmth, tension, and balance expanding the perception of what metal can hold, both physically and sensorially.
Fragua is an exploration of transformation of material, of process, and of form.
