About the collection
The Amare Collection grew from a decision to leave. Bertille Achard de la Vente, a French artistic director and painter, and Gilberto Bonelli, Italian architect and founder of DIORAMA, relocated from Paris to Siena after finding that the objects they wanted for their home simply did not exist in the Tuscan market.
Rather than search further, they made them. Each piece works with the region's raw materials: bronze, marble, travertine, charred wood, woven linen. Forms stay low-profile and deliberate, indebted equally to minimalism and brutalism. Production remains in the hands of local artisans.
The Amare Collection on Monde Singulier is also the beginning of a longer ambition: a hub connecting international designers with the craftspeople of Tuscany.
