A pair of brutalist French patinated wrought iron console tables designed by Jean Jacques Argueyrolles in the early 1990s. These sculptural console tables have a rectangular tabletop with two iron legs attached to the wall. They both feature a beautiful aged patina, with gilt gold leaf accents.
Jean-Jacques Argueyrolles was born in 1954 near Paris, France. His art has a one of a kind baroque feeling, what he calls Neo Art Nouveau. He works with bronze, stone, iron, gold and wood, designing furniture while creating sculptures.
French artist and designer who works in forged iron, creating furniture and sculpture from the 1990s onwards. His consoles, tables and seats show a brutalist sensibility, with hammered surfaces, raw textures and forms that recall organic growth, while remaining carefully balanced. Represented by galleries in France and Switzerland, his pieces are appreciated as sculptural furniture in which the trace of the forge is left visible.
