About Carlo Nason
Carlo Nason (born 1935) comes from one of Murano's long-established glassmaking families. From the 1960s he designed lighting and glass objects, notably for Mazzega, experimenting with colour, layered and incamiciato glass, and bold modular forms. His lamps and chandeliers reflect the playful optimism of Italian design in the late 1960s and 1970s. Collectors look for original fittings and strong colour combinations, which show his glass at its best.
