The story
The Rib Table Lamp Sphere in Small is a sculptural table lamp from the Konekt Collection, its spherical opal glass shade banded by dark bronze metal ribs.
Mounted on a slender cylindrical bronze stem and a round flat base, the lamp presents balanced proportions. A small control knob sits at the base, a quiet functional detail that does not interrupt the overall geometry. The spherical form sits at rest, neither asserting dominance nor receding.
Opal glass distributes light evenly across its curved surface, diffusing warmth rather than projecting a point source. Dark bronze ribs trace the globe's profile at regular intervals, their shadows shifting across the surface as ambient light changes. The pairing of translucent glass and linear metalwork reflects Konekt's consistent approach to unexpected material combinations.
Handmade in Pennsylvania by Helena and Natasha Sultan, the Rib Table Lamp Sphere belongs to the Rib series within the Konekt Collection, available across sphere, ellipse, and capsule forms in multiple sizes.
About Konekt
Konekt is a sculptural furniture and lighting studio based in Pennsylvania, led by mother-daughter team Helena and Natasha Sultan. Their practice starts from material: its physical properties, its craft histories, and what happens when unexpected materials are brought together with traditional ones.
Helena and Natasha produce handcrafted furniture and lighting that pairs contrasting qualities in a single object. Strength and fragility, solidity and fluidity, refinement and play: these are not tensions the work resolves, but tensions the work is made of. Each piece carries that balance in its surface, its form, and its finish.
All work is made by hand in Pennsylvania and surrounding areas by local artisans. The studio's process is defined by materiality: textures are left in dialogue, contrasting finishes are set side by side, and the human touch remains legible in the finished object.
Konekt draws on both historical craft techniques and contemporary design references to produce work that holds a clear aesthetic position within American collectible furniture and handcrafted lighting. Helena and Natasha Sultan have built a body of work that refuses easy categorization: it is handcrafted but not nostalgic, contemporary but not fashionable. The studio's collection on Monde Singulier includes furniture and lighting objects that represent the full range of this approach, from seating and tables to statement lighting.

Every piece is packed and shipped under insurance, from the workshop to you. White glove delivery (unpacking, installation, packaging removal) is available on request. Delivery is not charged at checkout: we send you a quote within 24 business hours of your order. You have 5 days to accept and pay it (secure payment link or bank transfer), otherwise your order is cancelled and fully refunded.
